A partir de la revisión y valoración crítica del concepto de autoestima y de un estudio descriptivo correlacional en alumnos de EGB, cuyos objetivos fueron la identificación de los factores asociados al déficit de autoestima y la detección de los factores asociados al desarrollo de la misma, es que proponemos un plan de intervención psicopedagógica a fin de que los agentes educativos puedan contribuir eficazmente en su despliegue. El plan ha sido diseñado para ser aplicado a adolescentes. Sin embargo puede ser aplicado a niños y/o adultos con las modificaciones pertinentes. El plan de intervención propone una triple vía al desarrollo de una sana valoración de sí para desaprender la violencia y prevenir futuros fracasos escolares, adicciones. La evaluación del programa de intervención está en curso.
