El psicoanálisis enfrenta hoy, igual que en sus inicios, el desafío de tener que dar cuenta de sus resultados sin ceder en sus principios. Este trabajo, inscripto en una investigación de UBACyT sobre “Freud y la eficacia del análisis” intenta interrogar los textos de Freud buscando en ellos algunas respuestas que nos orienten para enfrentar este desafío. Partimos de la hipótesis de que Freud ha sostenido la pregunta por la eficacia del análisis en el marco de la producción conceptual, sin ceder ni al furor curandis ni al utilitarismo. Dicha producción fue sostenida con la investigación de casos llevada a cabo con el método psicoanalítico y sólo a partir de la misma pueden interrogarse sus resultados Por otra parte la especificidad de la cura y de sus fines hace imposible evaluarla en términos de meta - logro, en tanto la cura es consecuencia del trabajo analítico y no la búsqueda de fines preestablecidos. Palabras Clave Terapia Psicoanálisis Eficacia Investigación Abstract THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THEANALYSIS IN THE FREUDIAN PERSPECTIVE: ¿MENSURATION, IS IT POSSIBLE? Psychoanalysis faces today, just as in his beginnings, the challenge of give account of his results without yielding in his principles. This work, in the frame of an UBACyT investigation on “Freud and the effectiveness of the analysis” tries to interrogate Freud’s texts, looking for in them, some answers that guide us to face this challenge. Our initial hypothesis is that Freud has sustained the question for the effectiveness of the analysis, within the framework of his conceptual production, without yielding neither “furor curandis” nor utilitarism. This production was sustained with clinical investigation, carried out with the psychoanalytic method and their results can be interrogated only by this method’s application. On the other hand the specificity of the cure and of his aims makes impossible to evaluate it in terms of goal - profit, as long as the cure is consequence of the analytical work and not the search of preseted aims.
