En la actualidad, una investigación puede ser considerada científica no sólo porque genera nuevos conocimientos a través del método científico, sino también porque se sustenta en principios éticos. Ello supone que tanto los investigadores como las instituciones promotoras asuman su responsabilidad ante la sociedad. Este trabajo intenta reconocer que a pesar de que las pautas, las resoluciones y declaraciones internacionales han permitido lograr un corpus normativo en la ética de la investigación científica, es preciso continuar profundizando la temática dada la complejidad de las situaciones actuales. La fragilidad del ser humano, las circunstancias biológicas, sociales y psicológicas que le tocan vivir y las mencionadas actividades propiamente científicas; añaden una carga, que acrecienta ciertas indigencias estructurales del hombre. De este modo, se analizara a la vulnerabilidad como una noción constitutiva y situacional, que obliga el pronunciamiento de una insoslayable responsabilidad ante los otros. This means that the researchers as well as the promoting institutions assume their responsibility to society. This paper attempts to recognize that despite the guidelines, resolutions and international declarations that have led to a regulatory corpus on the ethics of scientific research; it is necessary to deepen on this theme given the complexity of current situations. The fragility of the human beings, biological, social and psychological circumstances that must live and the aforementioned scientific activities; add a load, that increases certain structural indigencies of man. Thus, vulnerability is analyzed as a constitutive and situational notion, which requires the delivery of an unavoidable responsibility to the others.
