Se presentan los resultados de un estudio realizado sobre una muestra de 132 protocolos correspondientes al Inventario Multifásico de Personalidad de Minnesota - Segunda Versión (MMPI -2) administrados a pacientes agudos internados en el Area de Urgencias de un Hospital Neuropsiquiátrico. El trabajo se centró en el análisis de las escalas clínicas y las sub- escalas Harris Lingoes con el objetivo de indagar si existen diferencias significativas de acuerdo al sexo y al diagnóstico psiquiátrico que recibieran los sujetos evaluados. A partir de este análisis se intenta poder arribar a un estudio de los distintos rasgos psicopatológicos de personalidad de los pacientes internados y, además, poder constatar la utilidad clínica del M.M.P.I.-2 en pacientes agudos. Resumen en Inglés The results of a accomplished study on a sample of 132 corresponding protocols to the Multiphasic Personality Inventory- Second Version (MMPI -2), administered to confined acute patients in the Area of Urgencies of a Neuropsychiatric Hospital, are presented. The work is centered in the analysis of the clinical scales and the Harris Lingoes sub- scales, with the objective of investigating if exist meaningful differences of agreement to the sex and to the psychiatric diagnosis that received the evaluated patients. As of this analysis we try to arrive to a study of the different psychophathologyc features of personality of the inpatients and, furthermore, try to verify the clinic usefulness of the MMPI-2 in acute patients.
