El presente trabajo es producto de lo realizado en una investigación sobre “Freud y la Eficacia del Análisis”. Nuestro objetivo es articular los cambios introducidos por Freud en la técnica del tratamiento, durante el período comprendido entre 1886 y 1900, con la pregunta por la perspectiva freudiana de la eficacia de la terapia psicoanalítica. La hipótesis que nos guía es que desde su encuentro con Charcot hasta precisar que con el método psicoanalítico es posible la curación de la histeria, Freud fue transitando por diferentes momentos de viraje en su pensamiento, donde el obstáculo fue el motor que lo llevó a introducir cambios en la teoría y en la técnica teniendo como horizonte la eficacia del tratamiento. Se parte de considerar que la eficacia del análisis depende de un singular entramado entre la concepción de la cura, los medios de que se vale, la formación del analista y, las particularidades del paciente; y que los obstáculos a la eficacia de la cura analítica dieron lugar en Freud a modificaciones en la teoría y en la técnica. Comprendemos la eficacia como la preocupación por los resultados obtenidos con el análisis a la luz de la concepción de la cura. Our aim is to articulate the changes introduced by Freud on treatment technique, for the period between 1886 & 1900, with the question about the freudian perspective on the efficacy of the psychoanalytic therapy. The hypothesis that lead us is that since his meeting with Charcot until specify that the cure of the hysteria is feasible using the psychoanalythical method, Freud´s thoughts passed through different moments of change, where the motor that lead him to introduce changes in his theory and in the technique was the obstacle, keeping in mind the efficacy of the treatment. We start considering that the efficacy of the analysis depends of a singular lattice among the conception of the cure, the way it is directed, the analyst’s formation and, the patient’s particularities; that the obstacles to the efficacy of the analytic cure gave place in Freud to theoretical and technical modifications. We understand to the efficacy like the interest in the result obtained with the analysis in the light of the cure conception. Key words Psychoanalysis Efficacy Technique Investigation
