En el marco de la investigación de qué, para qué y del cómo del diagnóstico en psicoanálisis, se relevan las consecuencias del encuentro de la clínica, de origen médico, y los inicios de la práctica psicoanalítica, a nivel de las transformaciones que se producen en el diagnóstico. Se indagan en las dificultades para diagnosticar, mas allá de las confusiones entre los modos de presentación, se verifica la hiancia entre la causa y sus manifestaciones. Lo que conduce a una paradoja: el diagnóstico que es necesario al comienzo sólo se legitima, o no, en el marco o al finalizar el tratamiento. Asimismo se describe al diagnóstico como operación de significación que requiere la distinción de Frege entre sentido y referencia, lo que posibilita correr el objeto del diagnóstico: ya no será solo lo que se muestra, sino lo que se dice de eso, lo que es definido a esta altura por un entramado. Palabras Clave Orígenes Hiancia Sentido Referencia Abstract THE DIAGNOSIS AND THE BEGINNING OF THE PSYCHOANALYSIS Within the framework of the investigation of what, what for and how the diagnosis works in psychoanalysis , the consequences of the encounter of the clinic of medical origin and the beginning of the psychoanalytical practice are revealed, in the level of the trasformations that are produced in the diagnosis. The difficulties to diagnose are investigated, beyond the confusions between the presentation ways, the gap between the cause and its manifestations is verified. That leads to a paradox:the diagnosis that is necessary at the beginning, is only legitimized , or not within the framework or when the treatment is over. Also the diagnosis is described as an operation of significance that requires the Frege´s distinction between sense and reference, what makes possible to move the object of the diagnosis: now it will not only be what it is shown, but also what it is said about it, what is defined at this point by a weave.
