The article presents the results of a case study carried out on the Dec-laration of Alert of Gender Violence against Women for the State of Zacatecas, based on a review of the formulation and implementation of this public intervention strategy, in its historical and local context. The study aims to assess and characterize the actions of the state entity against femicides, first at the level of the current social system —patriarchal and capitalist—, and then we intend to decipher its commitment and highlight its omissions within the framework of the specificities of the territory of Zacatecas.Keywords: femicide, Gender Violence Alert, public policy.
