Se propone un recorrido entre la noción de don desarrollada por Mauss y su reelaboración en Lacan y Godelier, con el objetivo de pensar su relevancia en los procesos de constitución subjetiva en la infancia. A partir del concepto de potlatch como sistema de prestaciones totales, se interroga la lógica del devolver, así como el papel de la mediación simbólica en los vínculos. Lacan retoma esta estructura para pensar el don como una operación de pérdida que funda el deseo y permite el lazo social. Godelier, por su parte, introduce la noción de objetos inalienables, que no se dan porque sostienen el orden simbólico de la comunidad. Este eje permite abrir preguntas sobre el lugar del objeto en los conflictos infantiles en torno a la propiedad, el saber y la justicia. Como proyección, se plantea una articulación con el programa de sobre la “psicogénesis de la experiencia jurídica infantil”, fundado por J. Samaja (1988, 2003, 2005), interrogando cómo estas lógicas simbólicas operan en la constitución del sujeto. El ensayo busca puntuar como solidarios los concpetos de don y potlatch con la de constitución subjetiva y noción de propiedad, para comprender como operan en la estructuración del lazo social y aprendizaje. Palabras clave Pérdida - Objeto - Infancia - Propiedad ABSTRACT THE GIFT AND THE SETTLEMENTS OF EXCHANGE The paper proposes a journey through the notion of the gift developed by Marcel Mauss and its reformulations in the work of Jacques Lacan and Maurice Godelier, with the aim of exploring its relevance to the processes of subjective constitution in childhood. Starting from the concept of potlatch as a system of total prestations, the logic of giving, receiving, and returning is examined, as well as the role of symbolic mediation in human bonds. Lacan takes up this structure to think of the gift as an operation of loss that grounds desire and enables the social bond, in contrast with the logic of capitalist accumulation. Godelier, in turn, introduces the notion of inalienable objects—those that are not given because they sustain the symbolic order of the community. This axis opens up questions regarding the place of the object in childhood conflicts around property, knowledge, and justice. As a projection, the paper proposes an articulation with the psychogenesis program, questioning how these symbolic logics operate in the constitution of the subject. The essay aims to highlight the solidarity between the concepts of gift and potlatch with those of subjective constitution and property, in order to understand how they operate in the structuring of the social bond and learning.
