Las prácticas profesionales reflejan un proceso educativo que es invisible y que constituye una reconfiguración activa a la luz de las exigencias del trabajo. Se enmarcan en contextos sociales y por lo tanto se encuentran moldeadas por el aprendizaje construido a partir del intercambio con otros y con las propias regulaciones de los ámbitos de trabajo. Considerando el desafío que implica para los hospitales públicos afrontar la diversidad y complejidad de las problemáticas que abordan, se indaga de qué modo la comunidad o red de pares y usuarios interviene en el aprendizaje y la transformación de las prácticas en hospitales públicos. Se propuso un abordaje cualitativo y se recurrió al estudio de casos. Se utilizaron técnicas propias del método etnográfico, como entrevistas no estructuradas y observación participante. Los resultados preliminares muestran que cuando se han logrado altos niveles de participación por un lado y horizontalidad en la circulación de conocimientos por otro, surgen iniciativas y propuestas novedosas que buscan resolver los problemas que se presentan. Sin embargo, la escasa valorización de prácticas no hegemónicas, la falta de formalización institucional y las dificultades para sistematizar y socializar este tipo de iniciativas, pueden afectar su continuidad. They are framed in social contexts and therefore are shaped by the learning built from the exchange with others and with the regulations of the work environments. Considering the challenge that public hospitals imply to confront the diversity and complexity of the problems they address, it investigates how the community or network of peers and users intervenes in the learning and transformation of practices in public hospitals. A qualitative approach was proposed, and a case study was used. Techniques typical of the ethnographic method were used, such as unstructured interviews and participant observation. Preliminary results show that when high levels of participation have been achieved on the one hand and horizontality in the circulation of knowledge on the other, novel initiatives and proposals arise that seek to solve the problems that arise. However, the scarce appreciation of non-hegemonic practices, the lack of institutional formalization and the difficulties to systematize and socialize this type of initiatives, may affect their continuity.
