El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo interrogar y problematizar el rol del psicólogo frente a la actual ley de drogas N° 23737. Consideramos que dicha ley vulnera los derechos humanos de los usuarios de drogas y coloca al psicólogo como agente de control social, por medio de la imposición de un tratamiento obligatorio para quienes considera enfermos y delincuentes. Por último, sostenemos que el tratamiento del consumo problemático de sustancias debe realizarse desde una perspectiva integral de derechos, por medio del modelo de reducción de daños, brindando información y asistencia a los usuarios, a través del consentimiento informado y en un marco de pleno respeto por los derechos humanos. Palabras clave Ley 23737, Psicología, Tratamiento, Drogas, Derechos humanos ABSTRACT DRUGS AND HUMAN RIGHTS: THE USERS LIKE SUBJETS OF LAW This paper aims to examine and question the role of the psychologist in reference to the current drug’s law N° 23737. We think that this law violates the human rights of drug users and places the psychologist as an agent of social control, through the imposition of an involuntary treatment for who it judges like sick and criminals. Finally, we argue that the appropriate treatment of problematic use of substances must be done from a holistic perspective of rights, using the model of harm reduction, providing information and assistance to the users, through informed consent and in a framework of full respect for human rights.
