El presente artículo se enmarca dentro del proyecto UBACyT denominado “Sexualidad en centros socioeducativos de régimen cerrado”, cuyo objetivo principal es determinar si la cultura organizacional enmarca la sexualidad de los jóvenes que se encuentran allí alojados. Teniendo en cuenta que el análisis de la investigación ha dilucidado que en los trabajadores de dichas organizaciones opera una lógica de censura respecto a este tema, este escrito se propone dar cuenta del origen de este fenómeno silenciamiento que opera en el conjunto de individuos pertenecientes a este tipo de instituciones. Para ello se hará un recorrido histórico con el fin de rastrear los comienzos del tabú de la sexualidad a nivel cultural y cómo este se refleja en las instituciones de régimen cerrado.
