El presente trabajo se encuentra enmarcado dentro del proyecto de investigación UBACyT (P 805) “Alcances y actualidad del concepto de compulsión. Su relación con las adicciones” que pone de relieve, en su abordaje clínico, el cuestionamiento del lazo del sujeto al Otro lo cual nos ha conducido, en el plano teórico, a interrogarnos acerca del estatuto del sujeto en psicoanálisis. En esta oportunidad, se trabajará sobre el modo en que Lacan concibe la causación del sujeto a la altura del Seminario XI y de su Escrito Posición del inconsciente, para luego relacionar dicha posición con la de Winnicott en lo que atañe a la conceptualización del sujeto en función del objeto transicional. Se resaltará la importancia del texto freudiano La escisión del yo en el proceso de defensa como un antecedente teórico de aquello planteado por los autores mencionados previamente. Tanto en Lacan como en Winnicott una operatoria previa con el objeto antecederá a la constitución subjetiva. Este modo de concebir la relación al objeto indica un límite a la determinación e inaugura un margen de libertad posible. Palabras clave Sujeto Objeto Separación Transicional ABSTRACT VARIATIONS IN THE CAUSE OF THE SUBJECT The following paper is included in the (P-805) UBACyT research project called: “Scope and current state of the concept of compulsion. Its relationship with addictions”, which highlights, in its clinical approach, the questioning of the bond between the subject and the Other and that, from a theoretical point of view, leads us to interrogate about the statute of the subject in psychoanalysis. In this opportunity, we will work on the way in which Lacan conceives the cause of the subject in the XI Seminar and in his writing called Position of the Unconscious so that, later on, we will relate this position with Winnicott´s one as regards to the conceptualization of the subject considering the transitional object. The importance of the freudian text called Splitting of the ego in the process of defence will be remarked as a theoretical preceeding of what has been exposed by the previously mentioned authors. In Lacan´s work, as well as, in Winnicott´s one an operation with the object preceeds the subjective constitution. This way of conceiving the relationship with the object indicates a limit to determination and inaugurates a posible freedom chance. Key words Subject Object Separation Transitional
