Si la declinación del Nombre del padre es un índice de nuestra época, en el presente trabajo nos interrogaremos por su incidencia en la subjetividad y la filiación. Guiarán el recorrido preguntas tales como: ¿de qué modo situar la trama generacional?, ¿cómo instituir la vida y no sólo "nombrar a la cría para"? Situaremos, para ello, la función de la madre en su ejercicio por la vertiente del amor. Haremos referencia al caso "Ana Rita", la hija del represor Pretti, quien ha solicitado en el fuero judicial se le permita usar el apellido materno.
