La inclusión de la elaboración de la tesis para los estudiantes ingresantes a partir de 2011, como requisito para alcanzar el título de Licenciatura en Psicología – UBA, se constituye como acto inédito en la vida académica de la facultad. Se identifican distintos momentos y respuestas en el reciente proceso de implementación, tanto en lo que hace a la dimensión institucional como imaginaria de la comunidad educativa. En ese escenario, se constituyen nuevos roles institucionales: tesista y tutor/a de tesis de grado. Este trabajo busca reflexionar en torno al quehacer pedagógico del/a docente en la función de tutor de tesis, destacando la dimensión relacional de dicho vínculo con el/la estudiante. Por otra parte, como parte del equipo docente de materias del área social comunitaria, se busca identificar aspectos específicos de dicha relación propios del quehacer comunitario, destacando la perspectiva crítica y el carácter participativo constitutivo de dicho paradigma. Por último, se aborda la dimensión política de la producción de conocimientos que fortalezca el vínculo entre la universidad y la comunidad. SPECIFIC NEEDS AND POTENTIALS OF THE SOCIAL COMMUNITY AREA The inclusion of the elaboration of the thesis for admitted students from 2011, as a requirement to achieve the title of Bachelor of Psychology - University of Buenos Aires, is unprecedented act in the academic life. Identify different times and responses in the recent process of implementation, both as regards the institutional dimension as an imaginary of the educational community. In this scenario, constitute new institutional roles: intern and tutor of thesis. This paper seeks to reflect on the pedagogical work of the teacher in the role of tutor of thesis, emphasizing the relational dimension of this link with the/ student. On the other hand, as part of the teaching materials of the social community area team, seeks to identify specific aspects of the relationship of the community work, highlighting the critical perspective and establishing participatory character of this paradigm. Finally, deals with the political dimension of the production of knowledge that strengthens the link between the University and the community.
