El presente trabajo: Investigación Científica y Sociedad tiene un doble objetivo: realizar un recorrido por la situación actual de las ciencias sociales y su enseñanza en el ámbito universitario y reflexionar acerca de la orientación de la investigación universitaria como práctica científica. En relación con el primer recorrido nos abocaremos a los recientes planteamientos epistemológicos en las ciencias sociales. El segundo objetivo nos conduce a examinar las implicancias que dichas transformaciones tienen en la enseñanza universitaria y, por ende, en la práctica de la investigación científica. Ambos aspectos tienen como propósito fomentar la transformación de las prácticas docentes e investigativas a nivel de la educación superior. La reestructuración de las ciencias sociales parece suponer la reestructuración de la enseñanza y de la investigación, lo que determina, en última instancia una reestructuración institucional. Palabras Clave Ciencias Sociales Investigación Sociedad Abstract SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION AND SOCIETY Our work “Scientific Investigation and Society” has a double aim: to know about how Social Sciences are taught at the University. We are going to work based on the recent epistemological proposal within the Social Sciences; to reflect on how the Investigation as scientific skill is carried out at the University. It has to do with the consequences that these transformations have within the University and in the practice of scientific investigation. The purpose of this study is to promote the transformation of teaching and investigative practice to a high level; the one that has to do with high education. The reorganization of Social Sciences seems to reorganize how to teach and how to investigate. In other words, it means an institutional reorganization. Key words Social Sciences Investigation Society
