El Equipo de Investigación del Hospital de Clínicas, Clínica Psiquiátrica, Facultad de Medicina, Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay, realizó en 1990 su trabajo originario “Psicoterapia psicoanalítica en el Hospital de Clínicas: cinco años de actividad”, con la novedad nacional de introducir instrumentos cuantitativos de descripción y evaluación. La investigación, sobre procesos y resultados, incluyó la construcción del Banco de Datos, publicaciones nacionales e internacionales, proyectos financiados por CSIC, el documento políticoestratégico Programa de Psicoterapia de la Clínica Psiquiátrica, el intercambio con grupos destacados -a través de la Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR). Este Proyecto emplea la propuesta operativa dosis/efecto y la formulación genérica Duración de la Psicoterapia (D Pst), hipótesis general introducida por nosotros en 1994.Agrupamos cuatro conjuntos de variables; tres bien conocidas corresponden a variables del paciente (Ui), del psicoterapeuta (Tj) y del diseño terapéutico (Dk). Un cuarto conjunto, poco tomado en cuenta, proviene de la red o marco social (incluido el escenario institucional) en que se realiza la psicoterapia (Rl). Nuestra formalización de hipótesis resulta: D Pst = f (Ui, Tj, Dk, Rl) El objetivo es estudiar la incidencia de algunas variables de esos conjuntos sobre la Duración de la Psicoterapia. Palabras Clave psicoterapia psicoanalítica hospitalaria, duración Abstract A EXPERIENCE IN PSYCHOTHERAPY RESEARCH IN HOSPITAL PSYCHOANALITIC TREATMENTS “DOSEEFFECT RELATION” The Research Group of the Clinics Hospital, Psychiatric Clinic, School of Medicine, Republic University of Uruguay, carried out its original work in 1990, titled “Psychoanalitic psycotherapy at the Clinics Hospital: five years of activity”, holding the local novelty of introducing quantitative instruments for description and evaluation. Such research, on processes and results, involved creating a Data Bank, releasing papers locally and internationally, projects granted by CSIC, the political and strategical document called “Psychotherapy Project of the Psychiatric Clinic”, and the interchange with outstanding groups, via the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR). This Proyect uses the operative “dose/effect” model, and the generic formulation “Length of the Psycotherapy” (D Pst), as a general hypothesis introduced by us in 1994. Four groups of variables are gathered, being three of them widely known, namely: patient vatriables (Ui), psychotherapist variables (Tj), and therapeutic design variables (Dk). The fourth group, often less regarded, comes from the social network where the psychotherapy is carried out, including the institutional scene (Rl). Our hypothesis is formuled as D Pst = f (Ui, Tj, Dk, Rl). Our specific objective is to study the incidence of some of the variables of those groups in the Length of Psychotherapy.
