A partir del marco referencial de la teoría psicoanalítica freudiana, la ponencia indagara sobre la vinculación que existe entre la noción de angustia traumática y terror. La denominación “angustia pánica” para referirse al llamado ataque de pánico se constituye en un oxímoron. Queda claro que se trata o bien de angustia o bien de pánico. Esta disyunción requiere para ser entendida de la teoría de la represión primaria y la revisión de la teoría pulsional. Se trata por lo tanto de delimitar desde la metapsicología freudiana un “más allá de la angustia”. Retomando la noción de inconsciente estructural.
