La incertidumbre es un constructo psicológico de carácter transdiagnóstico, existe una gran cantidad de evidencia sobre los efectos estresantes en individuos intolerantes y el impacto negativo sobre el bienestar psicológico. La presente investigación tiene por objetivo validar la Escala de Intolerancia a la Incertidumbre - Versión Abreviada (IUS-12), la muestra analizada se integró con sujetos de ambos géneros mayores de edad (=18), residentes del AMBA (N=1326) y del Gran Mendoza (N=1351) con un N total de 2677 individuos, recolectándose los datos durante los meses de marzo a septiembre del 2020. La misma tiene un diseño de carácter no experimental-transversal de tipo intencional no probabilístico. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo correlacional y factorial exploratorio (AFE) de los datos en SPSS. Los resultados de fiabilidad obtenidos con la IUS-12 fue de a = 0,85, la medida de adecuación muestral KMO=0,92 y el índice de Bartlett con un Niv Sig. 0,000, permitieron realizar el AFE sin rotar e indico que el factor 1 aglutina la totalidad de los 12 ítems, la rotación Varimax permite validar una estructura monofactorial (incluye aspectos de ansiedad prospectiva e inhibitoria combinados), resulta aconsejable el uso del índice total para la evaluación. The objective of this research is to validate the Scale of Intolerance to Uncertainty - Abbreviated Version (IUS-12), the analyzed sample was integrated with subjects of both genders of legal age (=18), residents of the AMBA (N =1326) and del Gran Mendoza (N=1351) with a total N of 2677 individuals, collecting data during the months of March to September 2020. It has a non-experimental-transversal design of an intentional non-probabilistic type. A descriptive correlational and exploratory factorial analysis (EFA) of the data in SPSS was performed. The reliability results obtained with the IUS-12 were a = 0.85, the sample adequacy measure KMO = 0.92 and the Bartlett index with a Niv Sig. 0.000, allowed to perform the EFA without rotating and indicated that the factor 1 brings together all 12 items, the Varimax rotation allows to validate a singlefactor structure (includes aspects of prospective and inhibitory anxiety combined), the use of the total index for the evaluation is advisable.
