Este trabajo explora la relación entre el concepto freudiano de lo Unheimliche (lo ominoso) y la noción de horror al saber, en el marco del proyecto UBACyT 2023 “Delimitación de la noción de horror al saber y sus manifestaciones clínicas”. A partir del análisis del film Mulholland Dr. de David Lynch, se estudia cómo lo ominoso se manifiesta mediante disyunciones narrativas, repeticiones y ambigüedades. Se pesquisa la “sorpresa aterrada” (die schreckliche Überraschung) en la diacronía de los fenómenos ominosos. Por último, se puntualizan los saldos que el recorrido permite extender a la práctica clínica. Palabras clave Horror - Saber - Sorpesa - Cine ABSTRACT “THERE IS NO BAND”: THE UNHEIMLICHE IN DAVID LYNCH’S MULHOLLAND DR This paper explores the relationship between the Freudian concept of Unheimliche (the uncanny) and the notion of horror of knowledge, within the framework of the 2023 UBACyT research project “Delimitation of the Notion of Horror of Knowledge and its Clinical Manifestations.” Through the analysis of David Lynch’s film Mulholland Dr., the study examines how the uncanny is manifested through narrative disjunctions, repetitions, and ambiguities. The concept of “terrified surprise” (die schreckliche Überraschung) is investigated in the diachronic unfolding of uncanny phenomena.
