El diagnóstico de obesidad nomina el exceso de grasa en el organismo, lo cual no necesariamente equivale al cuerpo que registra tener quien recibe tal diagnóstico, hay quienes no reconocen la obesidad en sí, a pesar de las complicaciones de salud que puedan presentar, en consecuencia, no se asume la obesidad, tampoco el tratamiento para el control de peso. Cuando persiste la falta de reconocimiento del diagnóstico de obesidad en un sujeto, a pesar de las dimensiones engrosadas del cuerpo, de las afectaciones a la salud y de las indicaciones médico-nutricionales, es necesario acoger al sujeto e interesarse por su padecimiento y por su demanda, para hacerle un lugar a su subjetividad a través de su palabra, a fin de discernir las implicaciones de esta contrariedad en el plano del goce y en su funcionamiento, de acuerdo a su singularidad, a fin de ubicar de qué manera es pertinente intervenir, cómo orientar la atención de la obesidad cuando prevalece la disyunción entre el diagnóstico de obesidad y el sujeto de la enfermedad, lo cual ilustra que la concepción del cuerpo remite a una dimensión discursiva, significante, a la que queda supeditada la dimensión biológica, material del organismo. Palabras clave Obesidad - Cuerpo - Sujeto - Psicoanálisis ABSTRACT THE DISYUNCTION BETWEEN OBESITY AND THE SUBJECT: AN ORIENTATION FROM PSYCHOANALYSIS The diagnosis of obesity nominates the excess of fat in the organism, which is not necessarily equivalent to the body that the person receiving such diagnosis registers having. There are those who do not acknowledge obesity, in spite of health conditions they may present. Consequently, obesity is not assumed, neither is the treatment for weight control. When this lack of acknowledgment of the diagnosis of obesity persists in a subject despite the enlarged dimensions of the body, ill health and medical-nutritional indications, the subject must be somehow sheltered, taking an interest in their suffering and their demands. In this way a place is made for their subjectivity through their word in order to discern the implications of this contradiction in terms of enjoyment and their functioning, according to their singularity. This, in turm, in order to identify the most pertinent way to intervene and how to readdress the attention to obesity when the disjunction between the diagnosis of obesity and the subject that suffers from it prevails. This illustrates that the conception of the body refers to a discursive, significant dimension, to which the biological, material dimension of the organism is subordinated.
