Se trata de un Proyecto de Investigación y Desarrollo en Áreas Estratégicas con Impacto Social (PIDAE), financiado por la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Ante la problemática de acceso al agua segura en el barrio San Andrés, en Ezeiza, el proyecto busca brindar una respuesta integral mediante la resolución de los problemas técnicos del sistema de abastecimiento actual y el involucramiento de la comunidad en su mantenimiento y operación. Se trata de un proyecto de gran relevancia social, abordado desde la Salud Ambiental Comunitaria, con un enfoque integral técnico y comunitario, que conjuga la participación activa del Estado y de los habitantes del barrio. El abordaje implica una perspectiva compleja que articula diferentes disciplinas, sectores y actores. Se realizó una puesta en valor del tanque, y se llevará a cabo la conformación de un grupo de gestión comunitaria del agua, la impartición de formación técnica sobre la operación y mantenimiento de las instalaciones, así como talleres de sensibilización sobre agua y salud, monitoreo frecuente del mantenimiento del tanque por parte del grupo de gestión comunitaria del agua y de personal técnico del Municipio de Ezeiza. Palabras clave Acceso al agua - Psicología Comunitaria - Salud ambiental - Empoderamiento ABSTRACT HEALTH AND WATER PROJECT FOR THE SAN ANDRES COMMUNITY IN EZEIZA It is a “Research and Development Project in Strategic Areas with Social Impact”, financed by the University of Buenos Aires. Given the safe water access problem in San Andres, Ezeiza, the project seeks to give a comprehensive answer through the solution of the technical issues in the current water access system, and the involvement of the community members in it’s maintenance and operation. It is a project of great social relevance, based on a Environmental Communitarian Health approach, with a technical and communitarian focus, that combines the active participation from the State and San Andres’s population. The approach involves a complex perspective that articulates different disciplines, sectors and actors. A value enhancement of the tank was already carried out, and the conformation of a water community management group, the technical training provided to the already mentioned group focusing on the operation and maintenance of the installations alongside communitarian awareness workshops about water and health and regular monitoring of the tank’s maintenance carried out by the water community management group and the technical staff from the Ezeiza local council are some of the actions that will be done.
