Los estudios de trayectorias educativas y laborales de jóvenes que venimos realizando, nos permiten situar la importancia que tienen las representaciones sobre la carrera y la futura profesión, en el desarrollo de la carrera de los estudiantes universitarios. Por tal motivo, consideramos relevante profundizar el conocimiento sobre dichas representaciones, a fin de poder comprender cómo es que los estudiantes construyen sus carreras y futuras inserciones profesionales. Los resultados que presentaremos surgen de una investigación exploratoria y descriptiva, en la que se han utilizado técnicas cuantitativas y cualitativas para la recolección de los datos . En esta ocasión, nos centraremos en los datos cualitativos derivados de 15 entrevistas realizadas a graduados recientes (5 casos) y estudiantes universitarios (10 casos) de la carrera de Psicología. La guía de entrevistas, así como la grilla de análisis se construyeron a partir de las hipótesis de investigación. El marco teórico en que se basan nuestros análisis corresponden a la Psicología de la Orientación y la Psicología Social. Para esta presentación consideraremos las variables “Representaciones de la carrera” y “Representaciones de la profesión” correspondientes al eje “Identidad Profesional”. En las conclusiones se destaca que la formación orienta la elección de áreas de inserción y ejercicio profesional Resumen en Inglés The education and labor trajectories studies of young people that we are realizing, it shows us how important are the representations of this career and the future profession, on the university students development career. By that way ,we consider relevant explore the knowledge of this representations, to understand how the students could build their career and the future professional insertion. The results we will show appear from an exploring and descriptive investigation, in the compilation data they use quantity and qualitative technical. In this occasion, we centralize on the qualitative data coming from the results of fifteen interviews making to recently graduated (five cases) and university students (ten cases) of Psychology career. The interviews guide, and the analysis female cricket were build by the investigation results. The theory frame in which shows our analysis becomes from Orientation Psychology and Social Psychology. For this presentation we consider the variables “ Career Representations” and “ Profession Representations” corresponding to shaft “ Professional Identification”.
