Abordamos las condiciones de vida de los habitantes de un barrio de la ciudad de Rosario desde dimensiones como el hábitat, estrategias de sobrevivencia, relaciones de género y estado ocupacional. La población objetivo comprende dos sectores sociales diferenciados. Existe una población marginal y un sector de clase media baja y trabajadora. El objetivo de este trabajo es “determinar los efectos de las condiciones de vida y las estrategias de sobrevivencia sobre la salud mental de un grupo poblacional vulnerable”. Se investiga desde una estrategia cuanti-cualitativa. Desde la perspectiva cuantitativa se utilizará una herramienta de recolección de datos un prueba estandarizada, el MCMI-II de Theodore Millon. Es una técnica psicométrica para relevar trastornos psicopatológicos que corre bajo el DSM-III y el DSM-III-R. Desde la perspectiva cualitativa se determinan las condiciones de vida mediante historias de vida y entrevistas en profundidad. Para conocer las relaciones entre género y salud mental y las formas de sobrevivencia de los distintos sectores sociales ante diferentes situaciones de crisis se trabajará con grupos focales o talleres a futuro para incorporar la subjetividad de los actores y generar estrategias de planificación y gestión colectivas. El proyecto busca desarrollar propuestas orientadas a la prevención de la salud mental. Resumen en Inglés We get down to the residents life conditions of one suburb in Rosario city from dimensions like the habitat, strategies of overlive, gender relationships and ocupations. The objective population include two different social sectors. One marginal populations and other sector of hard-working middle class. The objective of this work is “to determinate the effects of life conditions and strategies of overlive about the mental health in a vulnerable population group”. We reserch since a quantitative-qualitative strategy. Since the quantitative view we use a tool of hardverst facts, and standarized proof, the MCMI II of Theodore Millon. It’s a psychometric method to relieve psychopatological disturbances that confirm in the DSM III and the DSM III-R. Since the qualitative view it´s determinate the life conditions with life histories and deepers interviews. To know the relations between gender and mental health, and the overlive ways of the differents social sectors in differents crisis situations we’re going to work with focals groups or in workshops for include subjectivity to the actors and to generate strategies of planning and collectives measure.
