El presente aporte es una producción teórica construida en base al análisis de las conductas asumidas por algunos de los investigadores que se desempeñan en la carrera del investigador científico de la UNR tomando los conceptos teóricos de representaciones sociales de Serge Moscovici e imaginarios sociales de Cornelius Castoriadis. Creemos importante presentar algunas aproximaciones provisorias al problema de los efectos inconscientes que tienen las experiencias traumáticas colectivas (como lo fue la dictadura en Argentina entre 1976 y 1983) sobre la subjetividad de los actores. La población objetivo estaba constituida a la fecha de la recuperación de los datos por 203 investigadores que participaban de la carrera en categorías que iban de la letra F a la A. La metodología planteada consiste en la triangulación de los datos provenientes de una encuesta realizada a una muestra representativa de los investigadores con los resultados obtenidos mediante la aplicación de técnicas cualitativas (entrevistas a informantes claves del sistema científico técnico de la Universidad e historias de vida a investigadores de larga participación en la carrera).La estadística que brindó la encuesta tuvo un carácter descriptivo y se constituyó en un soporte del análisis cualitativo. Palabras clave Imaginarios sociales Representaciones sociales ABSTRACT THE GHOST OF THE REPRESSION The present contribution is a theoretical production constructed on the basis of the analysis of the conducts assumed by some of the investigators who performs in the career scientific investigator of the UNR taking the theoretical concepts from Serge Moscovici`s social representations and Cornelius Castoriadis` social imaginary. We consider important to show some provisory approaches to the problem of the unconscious effects that have the traumatic experiences (as it was the dictatorship in Argentina between 1976 and 1983) on the subjectivity of the actors. The target population was constituted to the date of the recovery of the data by 203 investigators who participated in the career in categories that went from the letter F to the A. The raised methodology consists in the triangulation of the data outcome of a survey made to a representative sample of the investigators with the results obtained through the application of qualitative techniques (interviews to key informants of the technical scientific system of the University and life stories of investigators which had a long participation in the career).
