En investigaciones anteriores hemos indagado la representación social del psicólogo en ingresantes y en estudiantes de la carrera de psicología de la UBA, en el proyecto investigativo actual iniciamos el estudio de la representación social del psicólogo en estudiantes de las distintas Universidades Nacionales. Teniendo en cuenta que la representación social hegemónica del psicólogo en los ingresantes, en los estudiantes y en los graduados de la UBA, responde a lo que hemos caracterizado como modelo psicológico-psicoanalítico hegemónico, nos preguntamos si esta representación será igualmente prevalente en estudiantes de psicología en otras Universidades Nacionales. Afin de estudiar, en estas poblaciones estudiantiles, las posibles semejanzas y diferencias entre las representaciones sociales del psicólogo e inteligir los determinantes de su conformación, los procedimientos metodológicos contemplan: 1) a nivel de los estudiantes un relevamiento mediante cuestionarios, grupos focales y entrevistas; 2) a nivel de las carreras de psicología, un análisis de la historia de la carrera y de sus planes de estudio. En este trabajo presentamos los primeros datos sobre los ingresantes a la carrera de Psicología de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Palabras Clave Representación profesional - identidad profesional Abstract THE SOCIAL REPRESENTATION OF THE PSYCHOLOGIST FOR NATIONAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS In previous investigations we inquired into the social representation of the psychologist for those enrolling in and studying psychology at UBA. In the current investigative project we began the study of the social representation of the psychologist for students in different National Universities. Keeping in mind that the hegemonic social representation of the psychologist for those enrolling in, studying, and graduated from UBA, corresponds with what we have characterised as a psychological - psychoanalytical hegemonic model, we ask ourselves if this representation will be equally prevalent for students of psychology in other National Universities. With the purpose of studying, in these student populations, the possible similarities and differences between the social representations of the psychologist and understanding what determines their form, the methodological procedures include: 1) regarding students: obtaining information through questionnaires, focus groups and interviews; 2) regarding psychology degrees: an analysis of the history of the degree and its curriculum. In this work we present the first data on those enrolling in the psychology degree at the National University of La Plata. Key words Social representation - Professional identity
