La investigación “Representación social de las profesiones en estudiantes del último año de la escuela media” (2015-2017) se desarrolla en el marco de un convenio entre la UCES y el Programa de Orientación Vocacional del Hospital “Juan A. Fernández” (CABA). El propósito es caracterizar la representación que construyen los alumnos del último año del colegio secundario de las profesiones y los profesionales de Abogacía, Contador, Geología, Ingeniería, Medicina y Ciencias Físico-Matemáticas. La información fue relevada en colegios públicos y privados de CABA y Rafaela. Compartiremos resultados parciales de las profesiones de físico y matemático a través de cuestionarios con respuestas abiertas, relatos y gráficos vinculados a las profesiones y los profesionales de dichas áreas, echando luz sobre las distintas visiones y dimensiones de las representaciones sociales que guían las elecciones vocacionales de los estudiantes. Enfatizaremos las idealizaciones, prejuicios, anacronismos e influencias presentes en dichas construcciones, tanto como en los aspectos invisibilizados de la profesión del científico. También estableceremos comparaciones y articulaciones con las contribuciones de otros investigadores (Daraio, 2011; Daraio 2016; Pujalte, Gangui y Adúriz Bravo (2012) que pusieron el acento en los efectos que provocan visiones distorsionadas de la ciencia en la elección de los jóvenes. Palabras clave Representación social, Identidad profesional, Imagen ocupacional, Elección vocacional ABSTRACT BETWEEN ISOLATION AND INCLUSION: VICISSITUDES OF SCIENTIST SOCIAL REPRESENTATION The research “Social representation of professions in last year High School students”(2015-2017) is carry on in the context of an agreement between the Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales and the Vocational Orientation Program of Juan A. Fernández Hospital (CABA). The research targets to characterize the representation that last year High School students construct about professions and professionals of Law, Accounting, Geology, Engineering, Medicine, Physics and Math Sciences. The information has been collect in public and private schools in CABA and Rafaela Town. In this paper we share partial results of the research regarding the professions of physicist and Mathematician. The information gathered up using surveys with open answers, short stories and graphics linked to the professions and professionals of those areas, casting light on the different visions and dimensions of social representations that guide students vocational choices. We emphasize the idealizations, prejudices, anachronisms and influences that are present in those constructions, as well as the invisibilized aspects of the profession of scientist. We will stablish comparisons and articulations with other researchers contributions (Daraio, 2011; Daraio 2016; Pujalte, Gangui and Adúriz Bravo, 2012) who have paid attention to the effects that incite distortion visions of science in youths choice.
