El bullying es un importante factor de riesgo para la salud mental de los individuos (Nansel et al., 2004). En la Argentina pocos estudios se han llevado a cabo para determinar la incidencia del bullying en estudiantes universitarios. Los estudios extranjeros señalan que el mismo está presente también en dicho ámbito, aunque en menor frecuencia. El objetivo del trabajo era determinar los niveles de bullying y las formas más frecuentes. Se constituyó una muestra de 332 alumnos que cursaban estudios de primero a quinto año en universidades de Paraná, Entre Ríos. El 64% eran mujeres. Las edades iban de 17 años a 34. Los participantes contestaron preguntas de victimización física, verbal y relacional del cuestionario de Schaefer y otros (2004). Los resultados indicaban que un 16% era victimizado –tomando en consideración la frecuencia y la gravedad del acoso- y la forma más frecuente de ser victimizado era la relacional, como excluir y dañar la reputación con rumores. No existían diferencias de sexo a este respecto, aunque si la edad ya que los alumnos de los primeros años eran más victimizados. En la discusión se analizan las implicancias de estos hallazgos y se brindan sugerencias para futuros estudios. Palabras clave Bullying, Prevalencia, Universitarios, Argentina ABSTRACT PREVALENCE OF BULLYING IN ARGENTINEAN COLLEGE STUDENTS Victimization is an important risk factor for the mental health of individuals (Nansel et al., 2004).. However, few studies have been conducted in Argentina to determine the prevalence of bullying in college students. International researchs detected that bullying is a problems at university, but less extended.Thus, tha aims of the present study were exploring prevalence of bullying and its more frequent forms. An intentional sample of 322 university students who studied regular first to fifth year in private and public universities of Paraná, Entre Ríos was constituted and 64% were women.The ages ranged from 17 years to 34. The participants answered questions of physical, verbal, and relational victimization from Schaefer et al. questionnaire (2004). The results showed that 16% of participants were victims –taking into account frequency and seriousness of bullying- and the most common form of victimization was relational –exclusion and gossips-, with very low levels of physical bullying. There were no sex differences in this regard, but age introduced differences: student from lower grades suffered from more bullying. In the discussion we analyze the implications of these findings and we provide suggestions for future studies. Key words Bullying, Prevalence, College students, Argentina
