En este trabajo se pretende poner en tensión el estatuto que adquieren el saber y la transferencia cuando pensamos en los síntomas actuales y la practica analítica. ¿Es posible pensar que frente a la declinación del Otro, de la palabra y de la creencia en el saber sigue siendo la transferencia la que permite el encuentro entre analista y analizante ¿Cómo pensar el saber y el amor de transferencia -cuando se trata de nuestra practica- en la época actual? Sabemos que cuando Freud escribe los textos en relación a la transferencia, el saber y el Otro son portadores de un estatuto muy diferente a lo que sucede en nuestro tiempo, época denominada por Eric Laurent y Miller como la del Otro que no existe. En este sentido y pensando en la demanda de curación, un sujeto llegaba a un análisis haciendo del analista aquel que sabía de su padecer. Creyendo en el Otro, en su palabra y en la supuesta posición de saber. Hoy, podemos apreciar como eso ha deflación. Nuestra época está caracterizada por la caída del Nombre del Padre, y esto no sin efectos en la subjetividad actual.
