Irma Susana Carbajal Vaca studied Music, Communication Sciences and awarded a Master and PhD in Education. She has been a professor at the University of Guadalajara, the dual university Cooperative State University of Baden-Württemberg (Germany), the Tecnológico de Monterrey, the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo and since 2016 is a research professor at Autonomous University of Aguascalientes where she represents the research group UAA-CA-117, Education and Knowledge of Music. She has been recognized in Mexico  as a National Investigator (SNI I) by the National Council of Science and Technology and is a member of the National Council of Educational Research.
