Las carreras universitarias implementan cursos de ingreso como un momento de adecuación a la vida universitaria, trabajando preponderantemente sobre las competencias de lectura y escritura necesarias para un buen desempeño académico y presentando someramente un panorama acerca de la institución. De acuerdo al concepto de alfabetización académica, la escritura sería la actividad preponderante y la Universidad debe promover el desarrollo de lectores “expertos”. En esta línea, la Facultad de Psicología de la UNMdP propone desde 2006 un curso de ingreso que se sostiene en estos conceptos. Al establecerse un convenio con la Municipalidad de Tres Arroyos, comienza a dictar la carrera de Psicología en dicha ciudad, surgiendo in situ, la necesidad de no sólo reacomodar los tiempos y espacios del curso de ingreso, sino poder objetivar esta instancia. Así, se pudo redefinir al curso de ingreso como un espacio flexible y permeable con una función transicional y reflexionar acerca de la importancia de la intervención docente no sólo como transmisora de un saber académico sino también como mediadora entre la comunidad y la cultura universitaria. El caso Tres Arroyos generó un espacio que capitalizó la heterogeneidad para comenzar a construir una identidad universitaria incipiente y con rasgos propios. Palabras clave Alfabetización Ingreso Identidad Universidad ABSTRACT TRES ARROYOS: SEARCHING OF A UNIVERSITY IDENTITY The universities use to implement admission courses in order to adequate the students into the university life. The course presents a panorama on the institution and is focused on the writing and reading skills needed to warrant a good academic performance. In accordance with the concept of academic literacy, the writing would be the preponderant activity and the University must promote the development of “expert” readership. In this line, since 2006 the Faculty of Psychology proposes an admission course based on these concepts. After an agreement established with the Municipality of Tres Arroyos, the career of Psychology is begun to dictate in this city. The need to reschedule the course to the local time and space available arose in situ, as well as the need to do these instance in an object. It was possible to re-define the admission course as a flexible and permeable space with a transitional function. We discussed the roll of the teachers as a mechanism of transmission of the academic knowledge and as a bridge between the community and the University. In the case of Tres Arroyos, there was generated a space that capitalized the heterogeneity to begin to construct an incipient university identity with his own features.
