La gestación y puesta en marcha de un proyecto educativo personal se sostiene en la elección de una profesión. La historización de esa decisión nos permite visibilizar motivaciones consientes e inconscientes que configuran el campo propicio para que esa singular elección tenga lugar. En este trabajo se analizan las entrevistas en profundidad administradas a 20 estudiantes de profesorados universitarios y terciarios de la provincia de San Luis, indagando en distintos aspectos de la elección profesional: tipo de elección, modo en que se toma la decisión de cursar la carrera docente, motivos manifiestos y entramado inconsciente que dan lugar a una elección siempre subjetiva y singular. El análisis -desde una mirada psicoanalítica- pone especial atención a los procesos identificatorios con figuras que cumplen funciones maternas y paternas, que dan lugar a la repetición, la formación reactiva o la sublimación.Así mismo se visibiliza el modo en que la función subjetivante del docente opera los sobre todo en aquellos casos en los que prima el desamparo. The historization of this decision allows us to visualize conscious and unconscious motivations that configure the propitious field for that singular election to take place.
