El inicio de los estudios superiores es un acontecimiento histórico y significativo en la vida de las/los jóvenes. En esta transición se producen transformaciones a nivel social y subjetivo. Implica aprender el oficio de estudiante universitario y adaptarse a una nueva cultura institucional. El desarrollo favorable de esta transición resulta crucial para que las/los ingresantes logren construir satisfactoriamente su trayectoria educativa. Desde el Dpto. de Orientación Vocacional (DOV) del CBC de la UBA, se realizan talleres de orientación: “Mi comienzo en la UBA”, con el objetivo de acompañar a las/los estudiantes en sus primeros pasos en la Universidad. En este trabajo se analiza cómo las/los ingresantes que participaron de los 89 talleres –realizados durante febrero y marzo de 2017, previo al inicio de clases–, evalúan la experiencia de haber participado en el taller. El instrumento de recolección de datos es una ficha de evaluación El análisis cuantitativo de las preguntas cerradas se realizó con el programa estadístico SPSS y el material obtenido en las preguntas abiertas se estudió mediante el análisis del contenido y la emergencia de categorías. Dichos resultados nos permitieron evaluar nuestras prácticas e identificar necesidades de orientación que se retomaron en el segundo encuentro del taller. Palabras clave Ingresantes, Transición, Orientación, Trayectoria educativa ABSTRACT VOCATIONAL ORIENTATION STRATEGIES FOR INCOMING STUDENTS The beginning of higher education is a historical and significative event in the life of young people. In this transition, social and subjective transformations take place which implies learning the office of university student and adapting to a new institutional culture. The positive development of this transition is important for incoming students to successfully build their educational trajectory. From the Vocational Orientation Department (DOV) of the CBC at the UBA, orientation workshops are held: “My beginning at UBA”, aiming to accompany students in their first steps at University. In this study we analyze how incoming students who participated of 89 workshops- held between February and March 2017, prior to beginning classes- evaluate the experience of having participated in the workshop. The data collection instrument is an evaluation form. The quantitive analysis of the closed questions was performed with the SPSS statistical program and the information gathered with open questions was studied through the analysis of content (Grounded theory) and the emergence of categories. These results allowed us to evaluate our professional practice and identify orientation needs from incoming students that were taken up in the second workshop.
