
Paula Bruno (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1975) holds a PhD in History from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires and a Professorship in Middle and Higher Education in History from the same faculty. She is also holds a Master of Historical Research from the University of San Andrés.She has been a visiting researcher in the following institutions: École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris), European University Institute (Firenze), Complutense University of Madrid, University of Barcelona, University of Girona, Instituto de Investigaciones "Dr. José María Luis Mora" (Mexico City), National Autonomous University of Mexico, Università degli Studi di Venezia "Ca 'Foscari", Università degli Studi di Verona, Ibero-American Institute of Berlin, Madrid Institute for Advanced Study (MIAS), among others.She received individual scholarships and funding to develop individual and group research projects of different state agencies, foundations and R&D centres from different countries including: 1. Argentina: National Council of Scientific and Technical Research, National Agency for Scientific and Technological Promotion, Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Metropolitan Fund of Arts and Sciences, Antorchas Foundation, Ministry of Culture of the Presidency of the Nation; 2. She has founded the first Public History Laboratory of Argentine.Author of numerous books, articles, book chapters and essays on Latin American cultural history, history of intellectuals and historical biography published in refeered journals. Author of articles in Public History magazines. Author of text books for the teaching of History and Social Sciences in Primary, Secondary, Polimodal and General Basic Education (EGB). Author of teacher training materials.She has received the awards: Premio Pensamiento de América “Leopoldo Zea” (2008), Premio Especial “Eduardo Mallea” (2016), Premio “Gregorio Weinberg” (2016), among other distinctions and grants..
