He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Theology at Pontifical Xavierian University. In 2021, he earned a degree in Philosophy from the same institution, located in Bogotá, Colombia, where he also pursued studies in Theology. Continuing his academic journey, he has undertaken additional education, completing courses in Christology, Religion, Social Doctrine of the Church, and Gender Studies at esteemed institutions such as Boston College and the University of Edinburgh. His academic interests span various fields, including Medieval Philosophy, Augustinian thought, Contemporary Mysticism, Queer Theory, and Theology. In addition to his academic pursuits, he plays a crucial role as an Editor and Proofreader of theological texts at the Faculty of Theology of Pontifical Xavierian University. Concurrently, he holds a position as a junior researcher at the Institute Sophia in Saint Louis, MO, USA, contributing to the research group "Intercultural, Interdisciplinary, and Interreligious Group on Decoloniality, Migrations, and Sexuality" (GIDMS). Further showcasing his commitment to the field, he serves as the Assistant Editor of the Journal Conexión Queer: Latin American and Caribbean Journal of Queer Theologies. His expertise is sought after in the realm of Queer Theologies, as he also acts as a consultant for the digital project Teología Sin Vergüenza (Shameless Theology) by Soulforce.
